@Isao: Je te promets que j’avais prévu cette photo avant de lire ta réponse à un de mes commentaires ici.
Mais bon, contrairement à toi, pour moi c’est un sujet très peu abordé jusqu’à présent. En fait je pense que c’est même une des rares photos d’escargot que j’ai prise.

reminds me of that steve martin movie, "the jerk," where steve martin orders the escargot for his wife in the fancy french restaurant. when the plate arrives, he averts her eyes and frantically calls the waiter over. "waiter, there are snails on her plate! take this away. and bring me some fesh wine! none of this old stuff!"
(disclosure: i haven't seen this movie for 28 years, so i reconstruct loosely, at best).

@paulski: your movie abstract is very funny but I can not be 100% against Steve Martin as I don't go very much for snails ;o)
It reminds me a real thing happining to me: in a french restaurant I ordered "chipirons" without knowing what it was. I was realy surprised to see small octopuces arriving. It took me a long time to figure out that I could bring one to my mouth. Disgusting!! at least that what I throught before tasting. In fact it was brillant. Much better than snail...

I love how the soft emerald green in the background just makes the snails shells and color SNAP! Very nice photograph!

@Calusarus: tu mets le doigt pile là où ça fait mal ;o). Non il n'y a pas de coup de flash mais ce coup de lumière sur la coquille est assez disgracieux.

@jennifer: well, I wish I could, like your friend ,study for photography. The more I shot, and the more I have to admit that I don't know anything about photography.

La spirale est incroyablement bien dessinée sur ce spécimen, la nature est quand même incroyable. Pas mal du tout cette macro dis donc, bien cadrée, bonne PDC, beau rendu des couleurs. Oui peut-être si on veux pinailler, le petit reflet sur la coquille... il aurait peut-être fallu un petit diffuseur pour briser l'intensité de la lumière.

@Evelyne Dubos: je suis tout à fait d'accord pour le reflet. et encore, cette photo est l'association de deux réglages justement pour essayer d'en atténuer les effets...
la lumière ne semblait pourtant pas très forte au moment de la prise de vue. J'étais dans les bois au petit matin et la météo n'était pas fameuse
