Hendaye -Col du Grand Escargas (6heures + 580m/-300m)
Le train n’est pas encore arrêté que j’essaye déjà d’ouvrir la porte. J’ai envie de crier « Méditerranée, me Voila! » mais j’ai environs 850kms de marche et des dizaines de milliers de mètres de dénivelées positives et autant négatives avant de pouvoir le faire.
Après quelques heures de marche mon moral change du tout au tout. Je commence à avoir mal aux pieds et je croule sous la charge en montée. Je finis la journée fatigué, moins optimiste que le matin, mais avec une jolie vue sur la Rhune qui est la montagne emblématique du Pays Basque.

The train is not stopped yet that I try to open the door. I wish I could shout “Mediterranean sea, here I’m!” but it is around 850kms far and most of all, dozen of thousands meters to climb and as much to go down. I’m pretty much determined but after a few hours walk, problems started to begin. My feet are very painful and I have difficulties to climb du to my heavy load. I finish the day exhausted and less confident than in the morning, but with a beautiful view on the “Rhune” witch is the most famous mountain of the Basque country.
