Mes pieds après quelques jours de marche

Le beau temps tient bon ce matin. Vous allez dire que je ne suis jamais content, mais il ferait presque trop beau. Après une matinée très agréable il commence à faire très chaud. Les paysages sont superbes mais mes pieds me font toujours aussi mal. Quand j’arrive à St Jean Pied de Port qui est une des deux plus grandes villes que je traverserai, je peux enfin acheter des pansements spéciaux pour les ampoules. Je fais également un tour par la poste où je renvois tout ce qui ne me semble pas nécessaire. Avant de partir j’avais pourtant calculé mon barda au minimun, je ne pourrais donc pas renvoyer grand-chose. Mais il y a parfois des pas grand-chose qui pèsent symboliquement très lourd.
Après avoir quitté St Jean et trouvé un champ où planter ma tente je commence à m’occuper de mes pieds. Inutile de parler plus de mes pieds, je pense que la photo suffit, même si vous n’y voyez qu’une partie des dégâts…

Photo : Une partie des 7 ampoules que je dénombre sans parler du reste. Bien que ce ne soit pas la plus belle photo de tout le GR, c’est bizarrement celle dont tout le monde se souvient.

Fine weather is still here today. You may think that I’m never happy, but it is even a little bit too fine. After a gentle morning it started to become very hot. The landscape is beautiful and my feet are still hurting me. When I arrived at St Jean Pied de Port witch is a small town but one the two biggest I will cross during the next weeks I could finally buy some special bandages for my feet. I also went to the post office to send back home some stuff that I find unnecessary. Before my trip I tried to have a bag as light as possible so I could not get ride of many things. But in some cases small things can have a great symbolic weight. After I left the town and find a field for my tent, I started to really take care of my feet as now I have all necessary to cure them. It is probably not necessary to tell more about my feet, I think you just have to look at today’s picture.

Picture: Part of my seven blisters and other things that makes my feet painful. It is definitely not the most beautiful picture of the day, but strangely it is the one that everybody remembers of from all my journey.
